Chris Charlton has over 25 years experience within IT, and is now a highly experienced IT Director, Technical Design Authority, Enterprise Architect and Digital Technology Leader with experience leading £300m+ programmes, and in developing (and leading) high-performing IT organisation. He has experience and is comfortable leading the most complex large scale systems integration programmes, both from inception and when in turn-around.His experience ranges from development (where he originally started and retains an involvement) through Design and Architecture, Business Architecture and re-engineering, Infrastructure (both real, as well as virtual including Cloud), Project and Programme Management. He has experience of ITIL Service Management (esp. service design) and has significant experience with development methodologies such as Agile (SCRUM, RUP and DSDM), Enterprise Architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF, Zachman and MoDAF), as well as more traditional approaches. He is also experienced with the ‘softer’ business consulting skills associated with business process modelling, business change (planning and execution) and benefits realisation. His domain knowledge includes Government (secure and central Government – especially Criminal Justice related), Finance (through Reuters Consulting and Detica) and Transport (British Airways, P&O, First Group). He has particular specialities in IT Leadership, Enterprise Architecture, Agile Development, Solution Architecture and Design, Security Architecture (he was Detica’s CESG Registered Architecture programme architect), Knowledge and Information Management and Exploitation and Data Warehousing.
